To belay is fundamentally to hold someone safe. In rock climbing and on ropes courses, the term describes using a rope to keep a climber from falling. A $2,500 grant from The Speedway Children’s Charities will enable On Belay to grow the number of participants served at each of four program sessions in 2011.
On Belay is tremendously grateful for this capacity building grant and the opportunity to serve even more youth from New England. Today Eli Tretter and Eryn represented On Belay at a check giving ceremony in Manchester to celebrate the grant award and share On Belay’s story with the speedway community.
