Secure program dates and locations
• Ensure participants complete all waivers/forms prior to participating
• Prepare and submit all paperwork to secure program sites
Maintain a professional presence for On Belay at all programs
Manage on-site program logistics for three current programs
Maintain communications volunteers and facilitators
Work with UNH liaison to train, secure and mange volunteers for each program
Manage participant registration
• Respond to program inquiries
Meet with facilitators pre/post program to ensure high quality programs
Update and evolve registration and evaluation systems to meet program needs
Update database after each program
Administer post program evaluation for participants and parents
Update the Executive Director on program developments pre/post events
• Evaluation data
• Demographic information
• Parent feedback
Pursue opportunities for expanding the program in partnership with the Executive Director
Update On Belay’s web 2.0 regularly with program developments including:
• Photos from programs
• Quotes
• Opportunities
Capture testimonials/quotes at each program to use for funding requests
Work with the Executive Director to follow up on media communication
Collaborate with board, staff and volunteers in community outreach efforts
Provide program related content for grant proposals

Payment

This position is part-time (7 to 10 hours per week to start).
The program associate will work from home with regular meetings scheduled with the Executive Director, program constituents and board members as such any candidate must have the following:
• Reliable transportation
• Access to hi-speed internet
• A personal computer (Preferably laptop – to bring to work sessions and programs)
This position is paid as an independent contractor.
Compensation is paid on experience at hourly rate of $10 to $12 per hour.

Requirements

• BA or equivalent work experience
• Proven track record of success working with children
• Experience working with adventure programs (ropes course or rock climbing preferred)
• Ability to balance strong work ethic and commitment to excellence with compassion and sensitivity for unique population On Belay serves.
• Independent, proactive worker who is not easily intimidated
• A task oriented logistician who is excited to explore the long term vision of On Belay
• Confidence with MS Office Suite, email, social media applications

Additional desirable qualifications:
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Prior nonprofit experience

The Family Day program is an opportunity to bring the families we serve together to celebrate their children, their successes and the fight against cancer.

With volunteer support, including volunteers from The Bruins Foundation, this program will provide children and their parents the opportunity to bond, celebrate and strengthen their relationships with each other and supportive community who understand the challenges of dealing with a cancer diagnosis in the family.

Thanks to alumni and their families for feedback that inspired this creation of this new program offering.

So I did. What an easy, secure way to offer affliate groups the opportunity to connect anytime they want!

Our webguru offered his help setting Meebo up inside out site and within a day or so we will be up and running.

Developments in social media and technology give On Belay participants the chance to continue buidling their community even when they are apart.

The family oriented fundraiser will be held on Saturday, December 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Strafford Room at the University of New Hampshire. Teams are encouraged to build their own unique gingerbread house to compete for prizes in four categories. Registration fees are $10 per team and include admission, basic gingerbread kit, entertainment and refreshments.

Participants are encouraged to bring their favorite baking tools to help create their gingerbread house. Rolling pins, pastry bags and cookie cutters are all encouraged to show off your creative talents. Participants of this unique community event will enjoy entertainment and refreshments throughout the day as well as the joys associated with helping out an extraordinary program.
Participants can arrive at anytime to build their house and get it ready for judging at 3 p.m.
